Following a long line of tradition, Marist School and Notre Dame of Greater Manila will meet on February 24, 2012 for a day of friendship games at the former’s campus. The athletic meet is a spin-off from its Mindanaoan origin, the Notre Dame Meet, where all Notre Dame schools compete in a few days of sports activities. Notre Dame, historically has been the name of all Catholic schools in the Southern Mindanao regions, although different schools may be administered or owned by different religious congregations. The Marist Brothers and the Oblates of Mary Immaculate (Notre Dame of Greater Manila) have always vied for the top position of the Mindanao meet. Thus the spin-off.

The date for the confirmation of Year 6 pupils is set for March 10, 2012 at 3:00 in the afternoon.

In support of the school's advocacy for the indigenous peoples of Malutok in Palawan, the Marist School Coordinating Body (MSCB) is organizing its first-ever Fun Run dubbed "Takbo Para Sa Malutok" on February 23, 2012. The event which will begin at the High School Covered Court and which will take the participants around the neighboring Rancho Estate will be followed by a sportsfest for Clusters 4 and 5 at the oval.

As part of the celebration of its 15th year of cityhood, the Marikina City government recently accorded the Outstanding Marikenyo Award to Marist School as one of the Most Effective Private Schools in the city. On hand to receive the award for Marist is the school president, Br. Paterno S. Corpus, FMS.

In line with its celebration of Mathematics Week highlighting the benefits of Math in daily living, the Mathematics Department, headed by Mr. Eric De Guzman, held the 1st Mathematics Invitational Quiz Bee last December 1, 2011 at the Marist Gymnasium. The event was participated in by a number of private and public elementary schools in Marikina. Results are as follows:
