MARIST SCHOOL PRESIDENT’S CALL FOR ACTION TO HELP VICTIMS OF FLOODING IN MARIKINA CITY

In solidarity with Marikina flood victims, Br. Nino Pizarro, FMS, Marist School President, is calling all members of the Marist School community (personnel, students, parents, alumni and other mission partners) to join the relief drive to help our fellow Marikeños who were evacuated due to flooding in their areas. Thousands of families in the evacuation centers need food and basic necessities to augment the limited resources currently available to them at the centers.

Br. Nino Pizarro is appealing for sense of compassion by donating rice, canned goods, baby diapers, milk, coffee, and other relief items to be distributed to the flood victims in coordination with the Marikina Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office. Cash donations may be deposited at: Marist College, Inc., Account No. 3171-0293-59, Bank of Philippine Islands, Bayan-bayanan Marikina Branch or paid at the Marist School Business Office during office hours.

Heavy rains and water flow from the dams caused Marikina River to overflow at alarming level yesterday. Due to flooding, our brothers and sisters who are living in low areas near the Marikina River were moved to evacuation centers in different barangays in Marikina City.

Please bring your donations to Marist School anytime. Please fill up the donation form for us to be able to properly acknowledge your donations. For details, please get in touch with Mrs. Emma Tan, Community Outreach In-Charge (Mobile Phone No. 09053399519 or 09087765695).

As one Marist family, let us all join the relief efforts of Marist School at this time when our brothers and sisters need our immediate help.

To all donors, thank you very much for your kindness and generosity.
