Ash Wednesday mass presider reminds to reflect on Lenten message

In his homily during the Ash Wednesday mass held on February 17, 2021, Rev. Fr. Vivien Nuera, CP reminded the Marist community to reflect about the message of the season.

“What does the Lenten Season mean for us? Simply, we are called to look [at] our lives and to see where we are headed now. Hinahamon tayo na tignan natin ang ating mga sarili kung nasaan na tayo,” Fr. Vivien stated.

The mass presider shared Pope Francis’s message that in order to have a meaningful experience of Lent and to experience love amidst the pandemic, we must take care of others.

“I pray that we find this season of Lent a preparation for ourselves spiritually. It is a time of special prayer for one another. Let us pray for one another,” Fr. Vivien said.

The mass, sponsored by the school administration, was streamed via Facebook Live.
